Why is there formation of air bubbles after the milk preparation is shaken in a feeding bottle?
Milk shaken in a feeding bottle always produces bubbles, which disappear eventually. It’s best to swirl or lightly shake the bottle horizontally, not vertically. This reduces the production of air bubbles.
-
Can milk powder be prepared with cold water?
Although preparation in cold water does no harm to the milk formula, it is advisable to follow the instructions for use, i.e., boiled water must be cooled below 45°C (warm water) before preparing milk formula. If the formula is prepared with cold water, the powder may not dissolve properly.
-
My child is constipated. Can I dilute the milk?
No, it should not be diluted to ensure that your child gets the maximum nutrients from the milk. It is more advisable to feed your child extra water in between feeding times.
